1.Cherai Beach :

It is no wonder why it’s the most visited beach in Kochi. It is also one of the cleanest beaches with a broad walkway. Like other beaches, the best time to visit is during sunrise and sunset. But the beach is open throughout the day and could be enjoyed anytime you wish to unplug from the real world.
Due to its alluring surroundings, it also makes the best spot for photography. You can sit back and relax, or meditate by the beach or simply take a peaceful walk. This beach is a must-visit!

2.Mattancherry Palace:
Mattancherry Palace is also known as the ‘The Dutch Palace’ as major reconstruction went under at the hands of the Dutch. It is a stunning example of colonial and Kerala-style architecture. The flooring of this palace looks like polished black marble but is actually traditional style Kerala flooring made of coconut shells, plant juices, lime, charcoal, and egg whites.
Inside the palace, you would get to witness the temple of the great Pazhayannur Bhagavati, the female deity of Kochi’s royal family.
The temple is said to be more than 500 years old. The phenomenal architecture and historical relevance of this place make it worth visiting!

Timing- 10 am to 5 pm.
Closed between 1-2 pm for the lunch break.

4.Santa Cruz Basilica :
This renowned church in Kochi is one of the 8 Basilicas in India. It was built back in 1505 by the Portuguese. This is one of the finest and unique churches in India. It is known for its Gothic-style Architecture and dates back to more than 500 years old.
The exceptional painting of the church was done by famous Italian painter Antonio Moscheni and his disciple De Gama.
The exterior of this church is whitewashed and the interior is in pastel color. The beautiful stained glasses and the painting of The Last Supper are a sight to behold.
You wouldn’t want to miss witnessing this uniqueness in Kochi.

5.Fort Kochi :
When you first hear of Fort Kochi, you’d imagine an actual fort. But Fort Kochi is a fishing village turned European township in Kerala. This is a perfect place to stroll the streets and explore the major attractions on the way like St.Francis Church and the Chinese Fishing nets.
This street has a mellow vibe and could be explored within a day or two. Towards the laid-back region, you could spot Dutch cottages, split farms built by the British.
Fort Kochi is the true essence of Kochi.

6.Marine Drive :
Marine drive is the most visited tourist place in Kochi. It is connected to many famous bridges like The Houseboat Bridge, The Rainbow Bridge, and The Chinese Fishing Net Bridge. The boat rides at Marine Drive are renowned for taking you to other tourist destinations. Eating joints along the way to Marine drive is not to miss!
Marine Drive is mostly enjoyed at night. It is the perfect place to de-stress and enjoy the magnificent view with your loved ones or by yourself!
