Perfect ways to enjoy your stay in Juhu under a budget!
When it comes to Juhu, people only think about the fancy and over-priced beach hotels and the huge number of Bollywood celebrities that call it home. But Juhu has something for everyone. It is a really fun city to stay in and spend a few days under a budget. Here is a list of cool places you should visit in Juhu, Mumbai.
Juhu beach:
This goes even without saying. How can you come to Juhu and leave without visiting Juhu Beach? This beach not only has the usual sun views and a variety of shops selling eateries, ornaments, and other miscellaneous stuff but it also has several water sports like parasailing, Jet Ski rides, Banana Boat Rides, Flyfish rides, Bumper boat rides, and many more at a very reasonable price. Can’t go all the way to goa for water sports. Don’t fret! You have Juhu beach to give you all the fun.
Iskcon Temple
The very famous Iskcon Temple is also present in Juhu. Visit the temple to see marvelous statues of Radhe and Krishna with magnificent interiors. As soon as you enter the temple, you get a sense of calmness and peace. There are stories written about the duo deities near every statue. Take some time out to read these beautiful tales that transcend time. They are evidence of Indian culture and literature. Don’t forget to check out the temple’s signature vegetarian restaurant ‘Govinda’.
Prithvi theatre
This place is a darling to all theatre lovers and for those into drama and arts. It only takes an hour or two at the theatre but if you manage to get the tickets you can witness some amazing acting and theatrical skills. But do ensure to book tickets in advance as they tend to sell out very quickly. After filling your creative senses with a beautiful play, fill your tummy with Prithvi Cafe’s finger-licking snacks and drinks.
Shopping at Juhu
Juhu is home to a myriad of amazing boutiques and designer stores. Some of these include Satya Paul, Millionaire, Kimaya, Ayamik, and Masaba. Check these places out. You could even fall in love with the gorgeous outfits displayed there. The clothes sold there are both trendy and ethnic with the specialized tinge of Mumbai. Those who have weddings or family functions in the lineup could use this opportunity to shop some really dazzling outfits that make you look nothing short of a diva.
Eat the best delicacies
Juhu is a city with so many eateries that you could eat all day until your tummy bursts open. You could find streetside chat and pav bhaji corners to seafood varieties, barbeque, and local delicacies. Juhu has food for everyone. If you like western you could try the Bay route, if you crave South Indian you could go to Dakshiniyan or the Banana Leaf, if you are a sucker for shawarmas and other Arabian food you could check out the Arabian foodcourt. For local cuisines and north Indian delicacies, you could visit the Juhu Food street. These are only a few drops of the ocean of eateries available in Juhu. It’s a food paradise indeed!
Juhu is an amazing city with so many wonderful places to visit. But provided Mumbai’s traffic and the hot temperature, visiting them all in one day might not be a very pleasant idea. In order to enjoy the entire trip to the fullest staying at Juhu for at least 2 or 3 days would be the best option. This way you could take breaks and get back to your hotel without getting exhausted and also spend some time at each destination without rushing. When I say budget and comfort the ideal hotel that comes to my mind is Staybloom. Bloomrooms are very classy and comfortable but still won’t hurt your pockets. They are extremely clean with all the amenities you could ask for. Their hospitality and service are also very remarkable.
