Reasons why the 'friends trip to Goa' is so Hyped!
“Hey guys, let’s all go on a trip to Goa!” Show me one gang of friends that hasn’t uttered these words. But why does Goa get so much hype? What does that place have that magnetically pulls flocks of tourists every year towards itself? Well, read more to learn about some of the most magnificent things unique only to Goa that stand as reasons to its tourism mania.
Beaches
Beaches are present everywhere. What makes beaches in Goa special is the culture and life associated with them. Beaches there have everything available and can be visited by people from all walks of life. They have something for everyone. If you’re a nature lover who loves to explore new landscapes, or a party freak on the lookout for amazing nightlife, or an adventurous traveler waiting to check out the best water sports, or an exotic tourist who wants to explore the local lifestyle of Goa while also chilling at a luxurious suite pack your bags and head to goa. Beaches here have got all of you covered.
There are numerous beaches in Goa but two of my personal favorites would be:
Calangute Beach:
They didn’t call this the ‘Queen of beaches’ in Goa for fun. There are so many experiences here that it would take you days to enjoy all of them. Calangute is known for its scenic beauty and preserved natural environment. It’s also the perfect place to have extreme fun with a variety of water sports like parasailing, jet skiing, scuba diving, and the list goes on. You could find literally anything from jewelry to delicious seafood in the shops alongside the coasts of the beach. The nightlife here is simply remarkable. I would guarantee that it would make it on your list of the best night fun you’ve ever had. You could also visit some of the olden day buildings in Calangute which hold quite a historical value.
Candolim Beach:
This is a rather long beach, in fact, it is among the longest beaches in Goa. Candolim is generally known as the escape option mainly because of the serene and peaceful environment it possesses. The scenic view and the less density of people make it perfect for some alone time and privacy. But that doesn’t mean the beach doesn’t have fun experiences. You could enjoy all kinds of water sports here and check out the local restaurants that serve scrumptious seafood. The shops bordering the beaches are great places to get quality souvenirs. Candolim also offers amazing nightlife.
Both these beaches have a lot of things to see and enjoy. To live these moments to the fullest and to cherish them staying for a few days would be the best option. The beaches house a huge number of hotels and inns with varying price ranges that suit every tourist. My preferred choices usually are the ‘Bloomsuites’ in Calangute and ‘Bloomrooms’ in Candolim offered by Staybloom. These are the perfect examples of luxury on a budget. They provide the cleanest rooms with excellent service and comfort at nominal prices.

Carnivals and celebrations:
Goa would be at its most beautiful self during the Christmas season and during the Carnival festival celebrated during February. Tourists from all over the world would come to enjoy this traditional Portuguese endeavor celebrated with fancy costumes and decorations. People eat awesome food, dance, shop, have an immense amount of fun during both these festivities.
Nightlife
Goa and nightlife are two inseparable terms. The parties, dance nights, clubs, food, and drinks are the thrive of Goa’s nights. You could party all night non-stop and there would always be something to entertain you.
Water sports
Goa has water sports on almost every beach. You could find all the water sports that ever existed on one beach or the other. From jet skiing, scuba diving, surfing, to speedboating, kayaking, and lots more there is no scarcity for water sports in Goa.
Cruises
The main specialty of cruises in Goa is its accessibility for everyone. There are lavish yachts with luxurious cruise options for posh travelers as well as super fun motorboat cruises for those traveling on a budget. Either way, there’s enjoyment for everyone.
Seafood
Goa is a seafood paradise and a must-visit place for seafood lovers. You would find all kinds of seafood dishes from a myriad of cuisines at both luxurious fine dining restaurants and local hawker centers or food outlets. Both these places serve the best kind of food which is simply delish. While you taste test the famous seafood options like Tom Yam soup or Kimchi Ramen don’t miss out on traditional dishes which are authentic to Goa.
Shopping
What’s a vacation without shopping. Goa is home to different tiers of shopping outlets from malls, markets, to designer shops and standalone stores. Whether you’re on your shopping spree or just out for some window shopping Goa wouldn’t fail to entertain you while also providing anything you would want to buy.
These are some of the best things you can do in Goa which explains the huge number of tourists flocking the Union territory every year. So what are you waiting for? Get ready to visit Goa for your next vacation.
