1.Banglore Palace : 


This iconic beauty of Bangalore is also known as the ‘Royal Charm’ and the place lives up to the name! The palace was built by king Chamaraja Wadiyar in 1887.

The architecture is a fusion of Tudor and Scottish Gothic along with some imported British elements.


Luxurious chandeliers, ornate cornices, and textured walls add to the lavish setting of the place. The interior has a beautiful historic touch of elephant trophies which was a favorite hobby of the old Wadiyars.


The palace holds marvelous historic paintings dating from the 19th and 20th century including the painting of Raja Ravi Verma who has had an illustrious painting career. 

The evolution of Banglore is beautifully captured by a series of photographs from different generations of the Wadiyars giving visitors a glimpse into the Wadiyar dynasty.

2.Lalbagh Botanical Garden :


This famous tourist attraction was started by Hyder Ali who wanted to plant a botanical garden as Mughal gardens were gaining popularity. But later due to the addition of the horticulture concept by his Tipu Sultan is when the garden started catching people’s attention.


This garden now stands as the most visited attraction of South Bangalore. It has more than 1,000 species of plants and trees that date back to a century. You can also find various species of birds, an aquarium, a lake, and a stunning glasshouse.


The garden has played an important role in promoting the concept of horticulture.


Timings: 6 AM - 7 PM. Open throughout the week.

Entry fees: Rs 20 for visitors above 12 years old.

                  Free for walkers from 7 AM - 9 AM & 6 PM - 7 PM

3.Chola Temple :


Chola temples are of great historic significance in the South, as it was ruled by the Chola dynasty for over a century. The temple has a Dravidian style of architecture and has carved images of gods and goddesses. 


The Brihadivsvara Temple of Thanjavur, the temple of Gangaikonda Cholapuram, and the temple of Airavatesvara at Darasuram are the three most famous Chola temples of the 11th and 12th century.


They are known as the largest temples of South India with exemplary Tamil architecture.

Timing:  1. Brihadisvara Temple of Thanjavur: 6 AM - 12:30 PM, 4 PM - 8:30 PM

              2.Gangaikonda Cholapuram: 9 AM - 8 PM

4.Nandi Hills :


Nandi Hills also known as Nandidurg is a true heaven for nature lovers. It is a hill station near Bangalore which is approx. 60 km away. The place was named after the Nandi temple which is at the top of the hill.


This place is 4700 ft. high above sea level and is famous for its picturesque view. It is mostly recommended to visit early morning to witness the stunning view of sunrise above the clouds. This place is also famous for trekking and has plenty of sightseeing to offer.


Visit the location to start your trip with a divine morning and feel one with nature.


Timing: 6 AM - 10 PM. Throughout the year including public holidays.

Entry fee: Rs. 5 per person. Rs. 15 for two-wheelers and Rs. 60 for cars.


5.Cubbon Park :


Cubbon Park is a famous nature sightseeing spot that acts as a green belt of the city. The serene atmosphere of the park is a dreamland for nature lovers.


The park has an excellent ecosystem with being home to more than 6000 acres of trees.

When visiting the park you can also check out other well-known destinations such as the Cubbon Park Museum, the Bangalore Aquarium, and Attara Kacheri which are all situated here.


September- February makes the perfect time to visit this place and spot some exotic animals!


Timing: 6 AM - 6 PM ( 6 AM - 8 AM strictly for morning walkers)

            Closed on Mondays and second Tuesdays of every month.

6.Government Museum:


Government Museum is known as one of the oldest museums in our country built in the year 1886. This museum consists of rare archeological items such as stone carvings, inscriptions, pottery & paintings.


The museum has 18 galleries which are a treasure trove of antique jewelry.


One of the significant attractions of the museum is the first-ever recorded Kannada inscription-the Halmidi inscription and the Atakur inscription.
